The first trial test was taken by 429 students from the six partner universities. The test items covered the four subscales: (1) basic sciences, (2) clinical sciences of companion animals/equines and (3) of production animals, and (4) veterinary public health and food safety. After psychometric validation of the question items, 132 out of 153 trialed items were approved and used for calculating students’ test scores.
